It took a far greater power and intelligence to command creation and all of its seemingly infinite expanses from nothing into existence in six solar days than the millions of years required by evolutionists. The verb created (Heb., bara, Gen 1:1) is such a graphic contrast to the irresponsible and reprehensible theory of evolution on how the universe came into existence and life began on earth. You are dishonored, O Lord, by foolish and small-minded men who will perish in their own conceit unless they repent.
So much good came forth from the six days of your handiwork, O LORD. Creation was as it should be before sin made its entrance. Even now though scarred by sin, all of creation declares the magnificence and majesty of Your greatness and glory. All of life owes its existence to You; I owe my life, my everything to You.
Heaven and earth will eventually pass away, and yet, I know that in Christ, I will not perish. Though I am small in comparison to the immensity of Your creation, my very survival over the heavens and the earth makes me realize that I am of far greater worth to You than the entire universe. <><
